IN the setup im building Im going to be using a jbl 2440 for my mids and Im pondering the idea of using a great plain 802 for the highs, 8 khz and up. Is this idea folly?
Thanks,
Nick

Personally, I would opt for a more traditional 'tweeter'
The 802 is generally used from 500hz or 1200hz and up in a two way....
077s are excellent in this range....
Think some graphs have been posted showing required compensation to get 802 drivers
response out to ~20K.... But it wasn't deemed an optimal deployment... IIRC
Thats what I needed to know thanks.
I would love to have a pair of 077's but there a little to pricey for me.
patience and dilligent, local searching, will both be your friends... :)
it can happen....
baby butt cheek tweeters, 2404, are real nice too...
and normally less expensive...
or a stop gap in the meantime, you could use something from beyma or ???? :D
