I was visiting in upstate NY last week and saw a pair of University speakers, wood cab with legs. Only model no. I saw was "dual 12". Naturally it had 2 12's with one tweeter mounted on top of one of the woofers with a bracket. Looked to be from the early 60's with wood lattice grille, cloth surrounds. Had 2 ports.
They actually sounded ok but did not have very deep bass, my guess is the twin ports tuned it too high.
Could not find anything on the web on these.
