Crown Macrotech i-series

Hi,

For my M2 setup I chose the Crown 5000i amps as I already had a BSS unit and hence wanted amps without an AD/DA conversion. Talking to a first level Crown support engineer recently, he mentioned that the 5000i actually do have an extra AD/DA conversion just like the iTechs. This contradics what a previous Crown engineer told me when I originally purchased it, and now I am confused.

They do sound fantastic but it is a torn in my system that I am doing too many AD/AD conversions.

Do any of you have any tech. schematics of the amp or ever taken it apart and can confirm which of the Crown engineers are correct?
