Altec 826A Iconic - worth keeping/selling?

We purchased our house from my wife's parents (about 5 years ago), and it came with a lot of extra "stuff". Well, there's this monster speaker console on our third floor, and we brought it downstairs (to throw it out). There's a little bit of veneer chipping/peeling on one of the edges, but all in all it looks to be in pretty good condition. Should I bother messing with it, or just go ahead and throw it out? I did find a picture of it on this site, in the 1954 home catalogue, and $324 seems like a lot to shell out in 1954. Any suggestions?
