Dennis Leisz recently visited with Mr. Widget and got to see and hear the Project May prototype first hand. He has asked me to post the following photos of that visit. That's Dennis on the left and Mr. Widget on the right in the first photo.

Kewl guys!!! :)
Don, you are going to be one very happy camper. Maybe a little less room in your place, but well worth it.
Hello Don,
Is the project may also available for members. I like to have the internal dimensions of the cabinet. Where can i buy the crossovers and so on.
Kor
Hi Kor,
Hans Peter has posted the drawings in this thread:
http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...4&page=2&pp=15
As you will see as you dig through the thread, the design is still a bit fluid and may change further. Once the project is complete, I am sure there will be complete documentation of the final version.
As for the crossovers, they are technically still under development. I expect, the schematics will be posted once they are complete.
The project has been dormant, perhaps hibernating is a better term, but in the coming weeks/months it will reawaken and with luck come to a conclusion in the Spring.
Don hopes to flush out the Project May Blog and bring it up to date. Once work resumes we will once again be meandering in the Project May Threads posting our progress.

Kindly requesting access to Project May so that I can connect to the above link. (It's kind of nice to know I didn't miss the conclusion of the project.)
Regards,
Mike
I´m also interested to have access to project may.
regards mats
To gain access, you'll need to send Don a PM.
Be prepared to sit at your computer a very long time. Some of the threads are quite long and convoluted, while others are more to the point.

I have sendt Don 2 pm but no answer.

Please stand by... I talked with him about a week ago, I think he is stuck in a big project at work.:(

Or maybe he is out of town, I sent him a PM on a unrelated matter on the 16th and have not heard back from him. If another week goes by I will call him:bouncy:
Hi Giskard,
Do you know anyrhing about the crossovers for the project May? Will they be available?
Kor
What do you mean by available?
Suppose you want to build project may. How will you get the crossover units. I mean are there schematics? I am not a technician. Though i like to build these.
Kor
I suspect there will be a final schematic.
I suppose you'll be needing the drivers as well! Good luck in getting them.:banghead: If you find a source, please let me know.:bouncy:Quote:

I just thought that because the drivers used in high end systems like the K2 are "current product" that they wouldn't be available to someone ordering them as parts. I did try once order the 045Be, and I was told by JBL that it was "obsolete" OK, then.
I always thought that the only way to get stuff like this was to ask a favor of someone who had connections at JBL. I don't feel comfortable doing that, so I didn't attempt to try.
I'll see what my dealer (Consolidated Audio) says.
Consolidated should have enough pull to get you anything...
