I picked up some R2R tapes yesterday , they only lasted 2 hours on CL :applaud:
Had NEVER seen LZ II with a subtitle on the box, tho not on tape label.

Have seen the film a couple of times. weird, but good.
The Yardbirds really rock out to "The Train kept a Comin" and the audience sits motionless. No noise,
no headbanging ,,,etc.
Band fights with a amp problem and smashes a guitar and tosses it to the crowd, who then wake up
and fight over it. The hero (?) of the film ends up with it, runs out the door with many chasing him .
He outruns them , makes it to the street alone.
Takes a look at busted guitar and tosses it in the gutter.
Director was making the point that objects only have value within their context.
Note on back cover:
"Duke is my musical father"
"Duke est mon père musical"
Superb sax by Carlos Ward. Recorded in Germany 1981. Perfect dynamics. Listen to the driving bass rhythm on Duke Ellington's "Virgin jungle" A3.
Schön!
This is the masterwork of Clem Clempson and Chris Farlowe.

What innovative record company "Immedate" was! So many rock roots from good old England with superb dynamics from Italy. Many discoveries: listen to the fat Hammond and the crunchy guitar on B7 "Porcupine Juice" by Santa Barbera Machine Head Featuring Jon Lord. Fantastic!
Al Di Meola and Pat Thrall guitars. Rosco Gee bass.

Weather report today: it's raining at long last. We had a year of minimum rain as never before. Is Switzerland running dry? The glaciers are vanishing progressively.
Produced by Joe Zawinul the Austrian.
Mountain & Cream No2. Fragrant memories!
