This will be an introduction for some to the Hang. It is a tuned handpan drum that does not sound much like a steel drum. It has sustain and a more sonorous resonance. This little solo video has been watche4d over two million times.

Here is a sample video of the sounds of some types, if you are not bored out of your skull by now. The musicians are very good.

I ran across this Ring of Fire video when listening to a bunch of Pentatonix covers while veneering some JBL's today. The kids literally howled with glee when Avi Kaplan and Tim Foust hit the low notes.

4313B, I dig it the most! Keep them coming.
Here's a pretty neat, impassioned version of "Waltzing Matilda" by an Aussie, playing a resonator guitar made by an Australian national from largely found materials. This performer used to hang out, as did I, on the late International Guitar Seminars discussion forum.
Richard Thompson and his electric band were on Conan last night. He also plays acoustic, so I toss in a web exclusive performance of his signature song. An interesting rendition. He's playing with the time.

Here's what happens when you tell a great Jazz guitarist to play a Rock solo in a vocal backing band. Having at her brother's ES-330, as usual. That the 330 has very little sustain obviously didn't bother her.
