Hi,
I have a pair of JBL XPL 160. I want to replace the internal crossovers to an active crossover. I have purchased a Marchand XM44 3 way crossover.The crossover frequencys are set to 800 and 4000Hz with 24 dB slope. My question is how low/high (Hz) can the 093ti be used and recommended slopes.

That looks to be the range, with 24db filters you could run them lower but if they sound good at 800Hz I would leave them there. Up high you don't want cross way up because the dispersion will get all screwed up. How do they sound now??

Hi Rob,
The Active filter is not assambled yet. I wanted to order some extra frequency modules to try out what sounds best. If it works out fine I will also replace the internal crossoners in the smaller XPL 90īs..

I do have to say that the crossovers in the XPL 160 is crappy compared to the Marchand electronic crossover. The soundstage and dynamics is now amazing and it sounds so much better . Crossover settings 500Hz @ 24 dB 4500 Hz @ 24 dB small adjusments from the original network. So i will never go passive again with JBL speakers.
