Exceptional progressive concept album after those melodious pop songs in 1968-1970. Listen to the oriental "The Lamb" A5. Don't listen to Irene Papas' vocals on C5. Cult.
movie with great soundtrack

According to ancient legends of the Mythological Cycle, they tell us of a celtic otherworld to the west. A place where happiness reigns. There is no age, sickness or death and a hundred years are as one day (cit.: back cover notes).
Eric Bell great guitar work. Listen to his fantastic solo in "The Rocker" A4. Amazing artwork by Jim Fitzpatrick. All time classic piece of trio rock music.
Bill Anthony/Chuck Andrus/Ernie Farrow (b)
Frank Isola/Jack Edie (dr)
Perfect quality of old Dutch vinyl, a reliable data medium also for the following 66 years. And more?

Fully agreed! This tune literally grasped me as a 15yr old then. The two and a half minute solo is a gorgeous one. And I like the quasi live setup, as there are no overdubs, not even during the guitar solo.
Btw, does your album copy indeed contain Whisky in the Jar, the song that made Thin Lizzy famous? The original edition of Vagabonds doesn't...
Best regards!
A mesmerizing slow soul version of Lennon/McCartney's "Good Day Sunshine" B1. Anyone knows a better cover version? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXMpNqs61Rc
Currently there's a 2019 reissue of Vagabonds in the Western World available as a LP, without the Whisky tune. Maybe I should go for it?
Best regards!
Title track A1: just a funny jam-session together with Ron Wood (b), Micky Waller (dr), Nicky Hopkins (p), backing vocals by Madeline Bell, Lesley Duncan and Suzy Quatro (!?) and who knows what else. Oh, i nearly forgot to mention: with a little help by the Fender guitar of Jeff Beck.
Ex-Ramsey Lewis Trio. Soft grooving funky stuff. Soulful piano by Ken Chaney!
Joe Pass (g), Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen (b), Martin Drew (dr)
Produced by Norman Granz at Fantasy Studios, Berkley, California, Nov.8, 1983
Superb dynamics.
One of the best LPs in Jazz. One of the worst cover foto in Jazz IMHO. Dynamic eating...
Subtitled as "Silver dreams-golden reality". What illusion...
Idyllic esoteric world in the ivory tower. Underrated anyhow?
