Couple questions about the L166

I used to have a pair of L166, but I sold them. I was wondering a couple things: what price were they sold at, and when did they stop selling them? I've seen them in the 1976 catalog and I think they first sold them then, but I don't know how long they kept on selling them.

1976 L166 / L166A Horizon $399 ea
1977 L166 / L166A Horizon $588 ea
1978 L166 / L166A Horizon $510 ea
1979 L166 / L166A Horizon $510 ea

Thanks. If that's the list price, did they normally sell at a discount?

Going with the $510 in 1978, that's apparently the equivalent of $1600 in 2007 dollars. I think I sold the pair for around $300.

That sounds about right. Those old systems were labor intensive back then. JBL couldn't afford such manufacturing techniques today, even with sustenance level labor in Mexico and China.
