Pics of 70's artists with JBLs
Got any pics of 70's (ok 80's or earlier) artists with JBL speakers in the shot? Studio shots or whatever, upload them!
I'll start the ball rolling (I hope) does this pic of Steeley Dan show an L100 off to the left? It's the back cover to one of their albums.
L100s at Electric lady Studios
Looks like an L100 behind Jimmy Page at Hendrix's Electric Lady Studio.

Bruce Swedien mixing Michael Jackson's "Thriller"
Photo taken during mixing of Thriller at Westlake studios. Some variant on the 4311? Port is not in typical position, Tweeter and Mid seem to be mounted to a plate which is mounted to the cabinet?

...With Quincy. First tape I ever bought.

Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead) 70's 80's
He used JBL E120s stacked in a verticle cabinet in four then eventually three speaker configurations (note the MC 2300 amp :rockon1:)

An unusual speaker set up :

Note the bottom speaker in the cabinet. It is inversely mounted on the exterior of the stack, facing inward. Note that it is also connected. What purpose did this serve?

Keith Richards' Nine-Day Party
"How it ended was, I was making a copy of a cassette and writing down every track and I was perfectly OK, I pushed down the record and play, turned round and bang! I caught my head on the edge of a speaker. Must have been asleep for a third of a second. JBL speakers (4315B) , man, beware that brand! There was claret (blood) everywhere. It was then that my friends said, 'Keith, I think you'd better go to bed.'"

1978 Cal Jam JBL advertising poster
Sorry for the so so picture but no one around here had a scanner big enough to put it in so I took a picture of it. I got this some years ago and finally got around to getting it framed. Looking close at the picture it appears to be Ted Nugent on stage.

I am not sur if it's 70s or 80s but it looks like a ALTEC JBL combo ?
Don't quote me... ...seriously...

Tommy Chong 4311

Kravitz slips into the "80's" by one year.

And if Altec isn't considered a thread hijack (I'm new & rather fond of Altec), Fab 4 & 612c that also had a Duplex. I've read discussion that the 612's use is to blame for the 'floppy bass' on Beatles' recordings.

John (& 'her') doesn't look offended by the Altecs. Even after a few years.

Jimi & 1204?

Looks like Elvis, but it's identified as Cash, and I think that could be a 2353.

Marley & a 2395?

Biaz & a plethora of vintage JBL sound reinforcement for the house. (Anyone identify the stage monitors? I thought JBL, but Yamaha had a similar sized horn.)
