Read Donald Fagen's Moving Tribute to Steely Dan Partner Walter Becker
"I intend to keep the music we created together alive as long as I can with the Steely Dan band," Fagen promises of Becker's legacy

So sad. Lots of negatives about Walter in recent years but he leaves a phenomenal legacy. As the father of a Bard College grad who lived in the Ward dorm, I've walked in his footsteps many times on my visits there, the "old school" Donald says he's never going back to. I've seen Dylan's pump that "don't work 'cause the vandals took the handle." Sad that he didn't outlive "Daddy G" who threw him in jail at Bard, G. Gordon Liddy.
Glad that "Fred Sanford" (John) encouraged me to buy both of Becker's solo albums after a listening party at his place a few years back!
R.I.P. Walter!

Thanks for posting the news, Seawolf. I hadn't heard Becker had passed.
Maybe he'll get to meet Napoleon now. I'd like to be a fly on the wall to hear the questions he'd put to the Emperor. ;)
The Two Against Nature video is one of my all-time favorites. Shows Walter's and Donald's wit and acerbic humor well, and what a rhythm section with Ricky Lawson and Tom Barney!
