Hello

Is there any way to use the computer for active crossover?

i saw the thread about RTA, that is really something..

I talked to Claus at the local hifi shop, and he had good experience with using active crossover on the K2 speakers.
It also increased the sensitivity he said.
You have his mail adress, right?
He used a Pass crossover, but that is very very expensive.
But then again, can you afford a pair of K2 you can perhaps also afford a Pass crossover...

Hi Niklas,

I don't think it is a good idea to "send" music through your pc.
Ok, maybe I missed the last 5 years in soundcard development but I do not like the idea anyway.

Niklas,

There are a few people talking about this on diyaudio.com,

Just do a search. The issue is noise from the CPU, hence the use of outboard DAC/ADC that is only contolled by the PC for musos using Cakewalk etc to author their recordings.

With your speakers I would suggest the exitng passive xover is the lesser of two evils than inferior active crossover.
