Hi JBL freaks,

I have a pair of JBL 4312 B MK II loudspeakers and now i am offered a nice pair of JBL L 96's for € 175,00. I also have an option on the raw components and x-overs of a vintage Lancer L 101 system. (LE 14 A and 175 DLH).
Guys tell me, what is wisdom in this matter !

Kind regards,

Jan Slagman

Wisdom, you want Wisdom when it comes to buying JBL's??????

well, it comes down to this, if you buy this stuff and you still have money you need (for rent, food, clothes, kids, woman) AND you REALLY enjoy what you bought...well that's wisdom....

If however, you didn't have enough money for those other things well, that's still a good time but a little foolish

maybe you're asking is that a good price for those items, that's a different matter..

Hi JBLnsince1959,

Yes, in a certain way you're right ! But........i have to made a choice for we have a certain number of square meters in the house and yes i would like to establish a JBL museum at my place but unfortunately i don't have room enough (lol). Actually my question should have been which of the three JBL's do you guys prefer at most. Of course € 175,00 for a pair of minty JBL 96's ain't that much. Nevertheless i really appreciate your input JBLnsince1959.

With kind regards,

Actually, if you look closely you'll notice the window is the RIGHT side of the plane. look at the direction of the wing.. BUT, I said left to make people look that way..

It's my way of being funny ( and telling a joke) WITHOUT taking up any more space. In some threads people have made an issue of how much hard drive space we are using up ( even tho the owner never said any thing and the forum doesn't pay for it). It really had nothing to do with space and was more "My shit is funny or OK (jokes, politics etc.) and your shit is wasteful and stinks."

Rather than only stinking up a few posts, I figured I'll save space AND Stink up every thread I've been in. I'll be posting more jokes every few days or so. That way I can piss of the people who don't like jokes BUT be totaly innocent..

I would keep the 4312's and get the L96's as well. But that is me:DI was kinda thinking, with the 4312s why get the others unless you need additional speakers. The L96 may be a slight upgrade depending on your listening taste, or they may not be.

I would avoid those components. The old LE14As are expensive to repair and are of limited utility. I personally have no love for the 175DHL.

Thanks all of you,

I will keep my JBL 4312 A's and i will buy the L 96 for fun and yes i will avoid the vintage L 101 components. I didn't know they were so expensive to repair in case of any damage.

Kind regards,

Jan

You're talking about speakers that are really very old so repairing can be a problem.....

Good choice....

Hope you didn't mine us playing a little in your thread...
