:banghead: I "Searched" here and the WWW land of confusion. I know the "Capissitor" jargon can be thick. IMO, Resistors aren't far behind. Here we have "High Performance", primarily in critical circuits such as filter networks....

Then, some "Metal Film" or "Carbon Film".

Question: What is a "Suitable" 2.2 M ohm resistor, for use in a C/C (Biased) network? (Brand or PN, Source)

They're just for biasing. No signal goes through them.

I use 5¢ carbon films....

I wouldnt do that except for resistors in low amplification circuits and only if using resistors with a relative low value (<2k)

when choosing a resistor for a specific circuit your choice must be led by the application. If using high resistance resistors in low noise high amplifying circuits you will also ad noise because resistor do that more or less depending on type of resistor and value. You could check this site and maybe you could find something useful tip:

Also you could google for the "resistor noise" and you will get plenty of links to read :)

THis is not a low noise high amp system. It is a high level speaker crossover and all the resistors do is supply a trickle of power to the capacitors. Nothing passes through them so they are not in the signal path in any way.

Cheap resistors should be fine.

Sorry I miss understood the resistors usage because the high value but sure, its for the 9V battery in a crossover. :banghead:

"Cheap resistors should be fine." :applaud: Thanks for the input guys.
