Hello ... I came across 2 old JCL speakers that I recieved with a Fender Bassman 100 that I bought ....was going to sell them to a friend , but the deal fell through, so I decided to use them , for now ....I use the D140F with my Bassman head for bass guitar , I've been using the 15 inch 130A with a 15 watt ( but loud ! ) Fender Pro Junior tube amp , playng lead guitar , as a replacement for the stock 10 inch speaker .... also have various pedals up front , like distortion ,delay , etc ...

Is this speaker OK for this type of music ( lots of distortion , and volume ) ? ...looks to be all original , and I know it's old .............

Thanks in advance ....

The 130A will sound a lot like the D140F; not a whole bunch of high end to the 130A, but it should work ok.

You should know, Harvey, after all....you were there.:applaud:

It'll work ok if sounds good to you.

Thanks Harvey .... I'm going to open up the back of the homemade cabinet , since I like that sound better than closed back cabinets , and give it a shot .... both speakers sat in a basement for 20+ years , so it may take a little while to get the dust off them !
