Good morning, I just scored a bunch of tweets and I am looking for a little advice please. Is it possible to pull them apart without damage to the diaphrams? The reason I want to do this is to see if they are genuine JBL. They all measure fine and sound fine, but I am curioushttp://audioheritage.org/vbulletin/images/smilies/biggrin.gif I guess the DCRs are all too close to hazard a guess, but maybe you could? This is the deal.

2 x 2404H 6.7 and 5.9 DCR

4 x 2402H 6.6 6.7 6.4 5.8 DCR

The 6.6 and 6.7 2402s still have the foilcals in tact and don't look like they have been off.

Also included in the deal was a pair of Peavey 22XT units. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they any good or dustbin fillers?

You take the 2402's apart by removing the 4 screws in the front. If you are going to change the diaphragm you will also have to remove the foilcal and the screw underneath it. At this point you will want to be very careful not to twist the bullet as this most likely will damage the dia.

You find the 4 screws on the 2404's underneath the horn, in front of the motor.

Thank you guys, so as long as I dont touch the bullet or phase plugs, I should be OK then. Is there an easy identifier that the diaphrams are genuine like the codes on the back of cones etc? Tony.
