I 've seen alot of threads on 035ti vs the 044ti. The 044ti being the better of the two. But I'm not seeing must info on the 046ti vs 044ti I am planing on making a small two using the 115H-1 woofers with the 046ti or 044ti (xpl90-18tis) I know were I can buy a pair of 115h-1 and only one 044ti and or there is one 046ti at the same place. Just wonder which is the better tweeter between the two. Then I go on the hunt for another tweeter to make a pair for my project. 046ti and or a 044ti

I would suggest building the XPL90A's if you have the skills. That means you will need the 046Ti's. If you don't like the XPL90A's style then go with the 044Ti's and build yourself some 18Ti's. It's about that simple. In either case, charge couple the networks. You'll be shocked. The 044Ti and 046Ti are both very good. I run both.

I do have one spare 046Ti (and four 115H-1 recone kits). I was going to use the single 046Ti in a center channel but that project was killed.

What is the asking price for the 044Ti and 046Ti? I might be interested in a trade. I have a single 104H to go with that single 044Ti.

I don't have the XPL90 cabinet specs yet. How far back is offset on the tweeter? I presume this is a time alignment. Is there any way around the offset? Would you make any crossover changes from what JBL used? Can I PM you for a price on the 046ti?

I believe the offset is 1". I've asked for XPL90A plans to be posted on this site but evidently nobody has a pair. I should have measured mine when I had them.

A way around the offset would be to tilt the baffle. The L250/250Ti tilt is probably sufficient. You might then have to tweek the networks a bit. You'll know when you hear them.

So were do I send the money for the 046ti? I see you made new cabinets for your 18ti's Do still have the old ones. Maybe I can make both. I'm starting to get into this JBL thing bigtime. What things do have you would sell? I got money burning a hole my pocket. I can paypal you if you have account.

All those 115H/115H-1 boxes I had are gone including all the mirror imaged 4406 sets. I think I've pretty much cleared everything out. I noticed the spare 046Ti while I was moving. I think I might have some network parts around. If you want me to build biased 18Ti or XPL90A networks for you let me know.

Kool very intresting. is there any improvements that you can make or are intrested in making in the crossovers in a pair of L80t3s. If so would i need to yank them or do you have a set there. And if yes to any of the above. how much?
