Hi Alenoiz,

the 2206H is according to JBL's specification sheet intended for use in a 1-4 ft³ vented enclosure.

In a normally damped 3 ft³ (85 liter) enclosure with a bass reflex tube 10.2 cm in diameter and 19 cm deep, you will get the attached result.

Note the 90° phase shift at 80 Hz which you will have to take into account when using it as a mid-bass driver.

There are probably other drivers that are better suited for your purposes.

i think to constructa 3-way system,a 2206 like a mid-bass(80-100 hz to 500 hz),a hornload 8" mid (500 to 1200 hz),a 2426 with a PH-316 p audio.
for the mid bass box i think to use this:trapezioidal cabinet,45cm greater base,25cm smaller base,45 cm deeper, the front side is 45cm of base for 45 cm higer.
i hope to have been clear

We have studied the PH-316 here. It is not equivalent to 2344(A) in off-axis performance, rather, more like a "cosmetic" clone. Use "Search" to find the measurement results.

Look to JBL's Progressive Transition waveguides as alternate:

They are relatively inexpensive....

Suppose a 2206 were to be installed in a 2.0 cu. ft. enclosure, intended for a two-way system.... what would optimum porting be?

I suggest that the transient response would be worse due to the smaller volume of air and the changed tuning frequency. I would rather consider a sealed volume of 1.5 - 2.0 cu ft and leave it at that. If your intention is to use it for mid-bass venting is not going to help you much and it will only complicate the design needlessly.

BB6P says 6" diameter, 14" long.

You run out of cone displacement at 42 Hz when you put 600 Watts in.

Also, there's a nasty rising response to deal with. I've enabled piston band response (orchid) to illustrate that.

My files say we've done this design before here on the forum, with 2226H.

I'd be lookin' at all of the JBL 2206 two-ways for conceptual design guidance....

i think to used only the 2206 in thebox, thehorn and the mid they are install over the box.
like a cinema system
for the reflex and sealed box have you a plans for example?
