L88's tweeter prob. What to do?

Picked up a beautiful pair of L88's. All seems fine... very, very well cared for but 1 tweeter is out.
Any ideas on what I might check (are the cabinets accessible) or should I let a pro deal with it.

Tons of those LE25's show up on ebay. I would at least pop the old one out and see if it is just something simple like a wire loose or some basic thing like that.

Don't take your speaker to a shop unless you using a screwdriver is like handing a loaded 44 Auto-Mag to a 3 year old.:die:

It's a pretty basic process. Swap one for the other.

My 88's had LE20-1 alnicos with the gray trim ring over the mounting screws, so you'd have to uglify them to remove the tweeter.


One of my tweeters wasn't working either, turned out to be the XO.
