The driver is a 2461 but at some point someone put a different diaphragm in it. It appears to be titanium but not sure if its JBL or not. Hoping one of the experts can help out here. The DCR is 6.3 ohms if that helps. What I want to know is what this driver comparable to with this mystery diaphragm in it. I would like to use it on some 2307 horns once I find some lenses for them.

It doesn't have the diamond surround so it's not a JBL Ti. With a tangental not sure?? Maybe a Le 175 or 2420 diaphram. If it is it's aluminum not Ti. Could be an after market Ti??????

Thats what i'm thinking. I think it is an aftermarket titanium.

Yes,its an "aftermarket" copy diaphramm.i have some spare identical ones here to that...actually they work fine.but for HI-Fi listening i would recommend putting the genuine one back in.

I seem to remember that this looks exactly like the original in my 4333A's (2420 driver, aluminium) from 1976/77, but I might be wrong.

Pic looks like titanium, tho.

Compare color to exposed aluminum casting....

It Looks just like one I removed from an Altec 802-8

It's definitely not JBL. There would be a red (16 ohm), or green(8 ohm) marking on one of the terminals...and JBL doesn't mold the "+" or "-" icon into the mounting ring. Looks to be a titanium tangential embossed surround "JBAltec" "clonebrid"

Thanks for the help everyone. I will take the advice and try to get original diaphragms ASAP for them.
