Has anyone compared the 4313B's to the new 4412A monitors?

I have. I don't think they compare that closely. The 4313B to my ears sounds better. The instruments seem a bit more accurate as well as the voices. I think it has a better sound stage. Some will say the bass is more pronounced with the 4412A. I agree that it may be more in that respect but I wouldn't say the bass is more accurate. I sold my pair of 4412A to get another pair of 4313B's and I already had 3 sets so I am a little biased. Down the road if you were planning on using the speakers loud and every day it may be less costly to go with the 4412As as parts are much more readily available as opposed to the 4413bs where none of the 3 drivers has parts that are still serviced by JBL.

Thanks for the info. I have a pair of the 4313B's and love them. Currently both woofers are out getting getting reconed and I know those kits, C8RLE111H, are still current. I guess I should be gentle with them. It's just that I see the 4412A's in the JBL literature so I was just wondering.

Those kits are current, but unless I'm not mistaken the originals were black on both sides. The kits you are referring to are the ones that are white on the back and black on the front. They perform just as well. They are sweet sounding speakers! :)
