Wayback in 1970 i already dreamt of buying a pair of Lancer's 101, but these gorgeous JBL's were far too expensive related to my earnings in these days. Later i never got a chanche to achieve these loudspeakers. Now i am considering to build a pair myself, but of course i need to find the components first. I think i won't find these components in Europe for the big JBL's were sold in the USA most of the time. I am listening to a pair of JBL 4312 A Control Monitors now and although they sound pretty good i want to realize the dream from my younger days.

I need to find:

2 x 175 DLH (driver; horn and lens)
2 x LE 14a (woofer)
2 x LX 10 ( X-over)

Can anyone give me a hint how and where to find these components ?
I really would be very pleased if anyone could help me in this matter.

Kind regards,

Hello Jan

E-Bay is your best bet if you can find someone willing to ship overseas. You may also want to drop a thread into our marketplace forum to see if any of the members have what you are looking for.

Orange county speaker repair lists a recone price of $443.00 for the le-14. They charge $50.00 to re-edge. I to love the lancer 101. It was my introduction to JBL, but unaffordable at the time. le-14s come up on e-bay frequently at very reasonable prices, often around a hundred dollars. Let me know if I can help.

I am surprised OC lists a recone price. I believe the kits are not available from JBL. And the last time I called OC they had no kits.
