I make a motion that the moderators move any previous posts that contain links to speaker construction plans to this new location.

Hello Oldmics

Good idea. We are trying to workout what's going to be moved. Just want to get some agreement and a plan worked out so the movement of threads and the transition into the new forum is orderly and organized.

Rather than moving threads, I wonder if it would be practical to have an index with links to threads. I am musing, because I can't think of an easy way to develop and maintain an index. For instance, one page that has links to threads with construction details of enclosures. Or, another page with links to refurbishing and restoring cabinets. Or, another page with an organized list of drivers and links to the threads with technical details about each driver.

I am tossing this out as food for thought. It would be a tremendous amount of work for one person to build such an index. Maintaining it would be another formidable task. Perhaps, one of the pedantic members has already created there own list of bookmarks that are organized in a useful manner.

Here is the beginning of an example. This would be for constructing sub-woofer boxes. This is only a little bit of the information on sub woofers that can be found in the forum

Enclosure plans of stock systems should be posted in the sticky provided in Technical Help. Someone, someday, might get as ambitious as Zilch and do some AutoCAD drawings. I only do my own AutoCAD drawings but I might do one or two for the forum if I ever get real bored and want to kill some time.
