I Have purchased a pair of these,2410,1" exit,3 bolt flange mount,Alnico magnet, about late 1970`s i would think...am i right in thinking its a 2420 ,but just in a smaller outer housing?....the entire driver is about 20% smaller than the 2420. seems to have the same 1.75 inch diaphramm and internals as a 2420,and i listened to both 2410 and 2420 side by side, and both sound vitually identical, but stange enough, the physically smaller 2410`s are noticebly louder by a few db. Only other difference i can see is that the rear cover is secured with 2 screws instead of the usual 4...other than that,it just looks like a "mini" 2420..it doesnt seem to be an economy model,as build and finish are every bit as good as the larger models....has anyone else come across these?

has anyone else come across these?Absolutely!

The LE175/2410 doesn't have the same bandwidth as the LE85/2420 due to the smaller motor. I'll leave it to you to look through the Library and check the specs in the Pro catalogs. You'll notice that printed specs for these compression drivers vary over the years, primarily flux density.

I got a very bad pair of 2410 years ago and "pimped" them up to good looking drivers with new titanium dia`s. Response is now to 18 KHz (-3 dB).
A very fine driver, as good as any old pro and consumer parts they build (till 1980) :D .
