For 2425, my RTA measurements reveal the Mylar surround Radian is sufficiently different in performance from JBL's diamond surround to require filter adjustments for critical listening:

I tried a Radian replacement in my 2441, some like it cause they feel its smoother sounding, I felt it was too soft sounding, the smoothness at the expense of the dynamic punch JBL is so famed for! I took it out, and got the JBL part, to me JBL phragms are crisper, and have that transient punch!
