Hello,

I have one of these waiting to be installed on the next major overhaul. I've been using an Ashley XR88/12 for about 20 years.

Or I could buy the two BSS units required to do stereo 4-way, and sell the DSC280.

Has anyone had experience with the DSC280? Any opinions on the sound quality in comparison with others?

Thanks in advance,

They are the same as the BSS 388 without the temp probe option. So it will do stereo 4 way.

Open it up and you will see the BSS logo on the PC cards.

It sounds better than Shures digital stuff, better than the Protea"s (Ashly),better than the DBX drive muck, better than JBLs 260 or ANY of Beringer"s crap, not quite as good as the BSS omnidrives and noware near the quality of XTA or Lake Contour.

If you already have it-I would use it.

Hello Oldmics,

Thanks for the advice. I was hoping someone here had used them.

I got this one from a sale at JBL, at about half price. I sort of figured the new Omnidrive BSS units would be superior, but was not sure if it was worth the extra bucks it would take to get them.

Thanks again,
Izzy
