Hi there, i need some help for identifying my subwoofer series / model. Here some info that i found on that speaker.
- JBL 12
- 2" (50mm) 4 layer high temp voice coil
- Magnet wt : 50 oz
- Impendance : 4 ohm
- Freq. response : 28Hz - 3kHz
- Sensitivity : 90dB
- 12" sub
- Black cone
- White JBL word at the centre ( also coloured black )
- 400 watts

i bought it from my friend in 2001

anyone had info about this series/model, please help me. thanks.:o:

Says "JBL" on the front of the calotte (dust dome)?

That's a "mobile audio" (car stereo) woofer, most likely....

yes... it's for car audio. but which model / series? For sure it's not DS120.

I have a pair of GT-122D's and they sound pretty good in a Sansui box I had laying around similiar to L-100 and tuned about the same.

I did a comparison to my 2242 in 9 cu ft box vs the pair of 122's in series for 8 ohms.

They played very respectably for what they are, of course the 18" stomped them when turning up the volume;)
