The directory doesn't exist as the error message states. If it is an ongoing problem, we likely need to download a patch for the photopost software.

Actually I think it is a server side issue with permissions. Like the directory that the software is trying to write in doesn't have the correct file permissions (CHMOD) set to allow it.

No. I've looked at it as has Ann and it is likely a bug. It should be using ./data

Here are some replies from the Photopost Support Members forums:

"go into your ACP => vBa Gallery => Modify Settings and then verify that your various file paths (Gallery URL, Files Path, Files URL) are all correct. After that go into your /gallery/files folder and verify that not only is /gallery/files chmod'ed to 777 but also any folders that may happen to be inside of /gallery/files already"

"check that Safe Mode is off on the server. Also see if your PHP was updated recently. These changes to your server may be what is affecting you"

It doesn't always fail, therefore it is likely a bug.

Have you asked over on the support forums? Is upgrading to the lastest version 5.2 an option?

I'll ask Ann. I'm not sure who downloaded the software, Don or Ann.

Hi folks. I think it's fixed now. I found 2 settings for uploads and one was correct but the newest one didn't seem to be set to the right place. I've fixed that and I find I can upload a photo. Please let us know if you see any more problems!

We need an edit feature after photos are submitted.........(or did I miss it?)

Hi, Mikebake. There is an edit feature. It's not very intuitive- if you don't have a comment for your picture, you can add one by clicking on the link that is the size of the picture. I think everything is editable, but all in different places. At one point when testing comment changes I found an unexpected box that seemed to be for deleting the entire picture and info with it. I didn't test that one to see it that's indeed what it did.

Best,
Ann

That is found by clicking on Profile, then manage photos and then using the pulll down menu to find the folder the picture is in.
