LE-25 Tweeters

Does anyone know the process of replacing the foam on the LE-25 tweeters that are in my JBL 4311's? Do I scrape the old one off or what? I don't want to start scraping just to find something underneath the foam. Mine are really bad and are crumbling to the touch. Please advise and thanks!

Be carefull, under the foam are the cables.

Remove the foam with rubbing with the fingers on the outside of the foam. Than try to remove the adhesive film with your finger nails.

maby there is a better way to remove,...

Once you're down to the adhesive film, just install the new self-adhesive foam over top of it. The wires under there are small and easily damaged....
