What drivers did the Lancer 66's have?

How do they compare to the L26's in sound?

Thank you,

Cary Chin

The L66 has the LE8T, only. (full-range).

The L26 has much more high frequency extension, and IMHO, is smoother-sounding too...

Gordon is thinking of the Lancer 33.

The Lancer 66 is a Lancer 77 without the PR10, so it has the LE10A and LE20-1.

Sshh! Don't let on we know there's a rare pair on e-b-a-y. I think he wants to keep it quiet.

Argh!!!!! :banghead:

Yep, brain fade day, that was. Was mentally comparing the L33 to the L16...

Haven't heard a L66, but if it's voiced anything like an L77, it should be quite entertaining, especially on a "period" medium-size tube amp (anything from a Stromberg-Carlson ASR333 to a Dynaco ST70, stuff along that line, from the same time period as the speakers).

BTW: Dunno which one I might pick, between the L77 and L26... would depend on what amp was to be driving it...

Regards,
Gordon.
