L40t3 Questions

I've noticed in some old Giskard posts that there is model # L40t3 listed in the mid 80's. I own L60t's, L20t's and L20t3's which all seem very common and readily available on ebay and craigslist etc. but I have never seen a pair of
L40t3's for sale and they aren't mentioned here very much either.
The L40t3's seem to be what replaced the L60t as the 8 inch two way in the L series and are apparently bookshelf instead of floor standing.
Were these unpopular or just plain bad or so good that no one would let go of a pair??
I know someone here will know the story.....

I've seen the L40T3 on eBay at least once, so I know they're out there. 'Probably very similar to the 4408.

i have just bought a pair of l40t3 yesterday for $60US :applaud: fabulous sound

They are quite good, compare them to the L20T3.

Great deal! Pretty much the home version of the 4408 studio monitor,without the HF level control.

I'd imagine the networks to be a bit better in the 4408 and a bit more efficient, But overall yes.

I have a pair and they sound pretty decent. I have a partial pair of L60t's which I will rebuild with different parts.

I also have a pair of L20t's that sound best, but with less bass.
