urei 809

I have been searching for one of the 12" coaxial urei speakers for some time without luck. Was this driver a Urei part or a modified Altec part ala the 15"?
If it is/was an Altec part, which one? Thanks.

Hi

- The Urei 809a used JBL parts . I believe there was no Altec based 12" version .

- Here's the pdf cut sheet for the 809a and a portion of the same as a jpg .

- The coax assembly is essentially a 2214 woofer with a 2416H compression driver mated to it ( firing through the woofers' magnet vent into the horn ) .

- The 2214/2416 combo is successfully used in many DIY projects around here as the 4425. See the latest such project from John W right here ! (http://audioheritage.csdco.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=7110) .
