View Full Version : Old homemade JBL's from 1969

I had found these 2 enclosures, homemade though nicely done. Actually signed by the builder I believe on the bottom "James Taylor 1969" but it probably isn't that JT. The enclosures have a D 123 driver, an LE 20 tweeter with a xover labeled LX2. The enclosures are not identical to one another. The cabinets are nearly a square 20X24. They don't sound great but they have different ports, and I wonder what would be the best way to utilize these innards. I am new to this forum, but figure some one here can suggest the best way to utilize these things. Norm

That's the vintage "032" system, and, while "low end," it should sound pretty nice at modest levels if the drivers and crossovers are working properly.

Give us the interior dimensions and we can tell you the optimum tuning for D123 those boxes.
