The sad part is the buyer bought a pair a week ago that were as clean for $1000? That was 4 pairs of L65s for that kind of money I would pay.......about $700 w/org boxes!!

Looks like it pays to keep those shipping cartons and receipts folks. By my estimates more than twice what they should sell for. I will admit they look super clean, but $2750.00 is just Crazzzzy:banghead:

A pair of 4430's, a pair of Citation 22's, some SACD's and plenty of money left over to take the significant other out to dinner every Friday night for the next few weeks.

Anyway... it makes me wish I hadn't tossed my mint pair of L65's into the trash can when I got sick of looking at them :rotfl:

The seller is a local guy and He said He's shaking his head in disbelief.

I was on the phone with Audiobeer within minutes after the auction ended. One of those "are you sitting down" phone calls! Insane!

:spchless:

Since they were local, I was keeping an eye on them because they were in incredible condition and to see what the market would be willing to pay (no intention of bidding myself.... I'm not a huge fan of the L65). I thought when they hit $1350.00, that was it. That's until I saw what happened in the last five minutes!

:screwy:

The winner probably had a high bid of $3000.00.

Just wait and see how many L65's hit Ebay in the next 24 hours with "the last set went for $2750, you can have mine for $1500!!" as part of the description.
