Hello. Three questions for you people....

How low does the 4312C impendance curve go? Can a Crown DC-300, circa 1970, drive two pairs in parallel without overheating?

Is the woofer in the 4312 series the same as the one in the old Century L100?

Who can refoam a pair of L96 woofers?

Ok, so it was four questions!

well, if it's an Old DC300 .....

4 ohms will give you 340 wpc

yea, it may get somewhat hot ...

whats the duty cycle ..??/

maybe ...add a 1 ohm power resistor ....Crowns recc'

The DC-300 used to drive a paralled pair of Advents real good a while back. Those dipped down a bit in some frequency ranges. I just want to be sure before I buy another pair of 4312s.

Be aware, that any of these 4310/4311/4312/L100/L100A cabinets equipped with the 123A woofer, will exhibit an effective FIVE TO SIX OHM impedence, of the cabinet. DCR on these woofers is about 4.5 ohms.

So, two pairs in parallel, could be between 2.5 and 3 ohms. Unless it's something "bulletproof", I would hesitate to "beat on it" with this load attached. I'd expect, if the Crown DC300 was in TIP TOP shape, that it could deal with it no problem... but if it's original old caps and such, I'd be a bit leery...

Regards,
Gordon.

I trust these parallel pairs will be in different rooms?
