JBL mounts?

I picked up a pair of 4312A's that were soffitt mounted in a local studio.

The seller claims they are JBL mounts.

Did JBL ever offer this ball and socket style of mount? :blink:

Those are Omnimounts, and JBL did offer them, relabeled, for the "Control" series, MTC-xx.

I doubt they were a factory option on 4312's though.

They're quite good, but not cheap (~$60 a pair); standard fare for commercial installations.

JBL subsequently integrated their similar "Invisiball" mounting system into Control Contractor products.
