A quick search did not show any repairs made to LE-25's.

Has anyone on the forum repaired the wires on an LE-25?

One of mine broke a connection wire just where it enters the spider wall. The dust cone is dented; is it possible to cut it open, then carefully solder & wire to the broke wire connection, then glue a dust cap back on. The tech at Simply Speakers said thats what they do. I didn't know if anyone has done it.
They'll replace everyhting for 79.00, however it'd be nice to use a little thin wire, solder, and a 2.00 dust cap.

There's one thread here where it's been successfully accomplished, yes.

You're riskin' two bucks to try it, tho.... :p

Don't remember, alas. They were replacing the foam on the face of an LE25 and inadvertently broke the wire. Soldered it, worked fine.

Carefully scrape the enamel off (Xacto knife?) to solder.

I can't find it either....
