My brother bought 4 stage monitors with 2204H and 2450J.
He is very kind and offering me the 4 2204H.
Can you please help me advice and the best solution to create a good base cabined for home application. I would like to get a flat response.

Option1.
Single volume with 2x2204H one single vent. Crossover 1200Hz with 2" (2450) or 1" (LE85).

Option2.
Dual volume with 2x2204H, one single vent. Crossover 1200Hz with 2" (2450) or 1" (LE85).

Option3.
dual Volume with 2x2204, one single vent. Crossover below 100Hz for one driver Crossover 1200Hz with 2" (2450) or 1" (LE85). similar to the 4435.

Option4.
dual Volume with 2x2204, vents. Crossover below 100Hz for one driver Crossover 1200Hz with 2" (2450) or 1" (LE85). similar to the 4435.

I would like to know if you could recommend volume and vent size for these configurations.

Thanks,

Here's the Thiele Small paramters for the 2204H from here: JBLPro Thiele Small Parameters Link (http://www.jblpro.com/pub/technote/thiele.pdf) and, you can design your own boxes around these bad boys using some of the info and modelling approach available here (see #115, right-hand menu band): Basic Car Audio Electronics Link (http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/caraudio.htm)

There's tonnes of useful stuff there, and you can donate to support the cause!

(NB: that VAS is in Liters. ft3 = L*0.03532)

Hello SA660,

The JBL recommended enclosure for the 2204H is 2.0 cubic feet tuned to 40 Hz.

Bass Box 6 Pro recommends 1.5 cubic feet tuned to 48 Hz for "Hi Fidelity" and 2.8 cubic feet tuned to 41 Hz for "Extended Bass".

In any case I would suggest you give each 2204H it's own volume/port/duct.
