Hey Guys...um...er...hmmm...any JBLettes on this forum? That could be a new thread...

Don't laugh...but I'm curious....has anyone ventured to use the 2412H or 2412H-1 "compression driver" for a hi fi application. As you might know...or not...this driver is basically an 035ti that has been adapted to fit a horn and is being used in various entry level JBL Pro systems. Attached to a conical waveguide and crossed over high enough this might be a really economical way to add some extended high end to a custom assembled system...any thoughts or experiences? This driver retails for about 80 bucks.

Thanks,

Edgewound

Thanks Edgewound I was wondering what it was. They show up on ebay, now that I know what it is I might just try them. Sounds like a neat little driver.

YW, Rob...just a caveat...JBL does NOT offer a replacement diaphragm for these and aftermarkets are available for around $40.00 give or take...and do a decent job...
