OK, bought a single 2245H and the 12 cu ft box. Now, how do I use it? I have an amp or 2 than can be bridged for mono. But I need a mono sub signal. None of my pre-amps have a sub out. I have a pair of Urei 5235 crossovers. But I don't want to lose the bass going to my front speakers.

I use a crossover that is very similar to the RLA X3000a

it is a 3 way crossover that has outs for full, bass and tweeters.... and three knobs on front that allows you to add gain to the portion of the spectrum that you want to....

sub is below 100Hz
full is 20Hz to 20KHz
tweeters get 7500Hz and higher

I am sure there are other ways........ :D

and I am personally saving and waiting for one of those RLA units.... mine was made by Rane, has that typical Rane sound...... the unit I have is still available from Canal Hi-Fi in NYC

Find a good condition, used Crown VFX-2A, this can be modded to have front panel output level attenuators added, or you can use it the way it is!

The VFX-2A has summed mono outs available for the low outs, and you can cut your subs in at whatever frequency you choose, as well as run your full range speakers with no filtering, and allow them to roll off naturally, or set a roll off at 20 or 30hz!

Very versatile that way, and these can be found very economically on Ebay!

JBL M552 has sum to mono, and it'll do your filtering, too.

$100 to $150 on eBay.
