May be some of uou never heard of the french charlin loudspeaker .
Some comment would be interesting .

I have heard them once some yeards ago i Think it was very good and flat and distinctive but it was not an extensive listening .

These speakers were made 30 years ago ... and known only by few people except may be pro users and fanatics .
I believe they needed only a good marketing manager ( as most inventive company who disappear ) .
I do not believe charlin industry exist any more

Well the last time I have had the chance to listen to Andre Charlin's Columns was
at the 1975 FIS show in Paris (France). Nostalgia... One of the best sounding
speakers I've ever heard in these days. The speakers were hidden behind a thick
burgundy drape so no one could see. So they were playing some records cutted by Mr
Charlin himsef. I do still have in ear the reproduction of choral songs that
sounded as vivid and dramatic as if the singers themselves stood exactly behind that curtain.
Here, when I'm listening to these old recordings (Charlin's from 1968 to 1971) on my
4343's set, I just can't help thinking they bring back the echoe of an era.
