Hello ,

Several years ago I bought and sold JBL/ALTEC on a regular basis and this site provided invaluable for my research . Back to the present , I am moving , I have way too many pairs of speakers and would rather sell them than move them. One pair are L 100t made in 1986 . I am sure I saw a brochure on these speakers way back when(1999) but can't find it now . These speaker cabinets are the optional "Piano Black" variety . I thought this brochure listed these speakers at + $2000.00 . Does this sound plausible ? Any info you may share would be greatly appreciated . Currently listed as part of a lot on Ebay .

Thanx in advance ,
R.

Hi

- Look here for the brochure on the "BK" ( Lacquer Series ) version (http://www.lansingheritage.org/html/jbl/specs/home-speakers/1987-lacqueur.htm) & here for a historical overview of speaker prices (http://www.lansingheritage.org/html/jbl/reference/price-lists/1970-1999-prices.htm) .

- Retail price on that model was $815 ea., back in 1988 .

- Personally, IMO, since your questions are seemingly asked to facilitate the marketing of your possessions, I believe they belong over in the "Marketing" forum.
