Plane crash on Coney Island!

I dont believe it but I saw it. A small plane like a cessna just crashed on the Coney Island beach, all 4 people in the plane, well, you know.

Came straight down out of the sky and hit the beach nose first.

Witnesses said the plane, a white single-engine Cessna 172, flew in from the ocean shortly after 1:30 p.m. at about the height of Coney Island's famed parachute jump, and then banked into a sharp left turn as it approached the shoreline a few hundred yards east of the Steeplechase Pier.

The engine appeared to stall, they said, and the aircraft plunged vertically into the sand 50 to 70 yards off the Boardwalk near West 19th Street, close to KeySpan Park, a minor league baseball stadium.

"It looked like it wanted to turn over the beach and go back out over the water," said Andrew Calka, 24, of Brooklyn. "But in the middle of the turn, it looked like it stalled or something. Maybe the turn was too sharp. The plane lost power. It came down, straight down. Nothing graceful. It just dropped like a rock."
