Hello Alec,

i own this combination too and i love it nearly as the 802/511B.

But i didn't find anywhere more information about the 288-K. I think there ain't more information, because neither at Lansing Heritage, nor at Altec unofficial nor at Total Audio is anything to find for driver later than 288-G.

If you find out something, please let me know.
