How was the JBL logo placed on the floor stands for speakers like the L100? Was it painted, branded, engraved, etc.?
Thanks in advance

I believe the logo was burned onto the stand. I don't know for sure, I sold my stands 23 years ago. But, believe it or not, I am getting them back shortly! I hooked up with the fellow I sold them to in 1982,and he has sold them back to me. I'm planning to use them for my 4313B's. He sent me some photos, and I believe the logo is burned, or "branded" in. I should have them this week and I'll let you know.

I have a JBL brochure that shows two bases. The nature walnut wood one appears the JBL emblem is painted on in black, but it could be burned in.
The other is has a blue board in front and red in back. The JBL is painted on the blue with white paint.

Donald, here's a slightly different question. based on your knowledge of the L65 (shown in your list) -
where was the logo/emblem placed on these speakers, if indeed they had any markings (my (used) set is in great shape, but have no external JBL markings). Thanks.

The metal JBL logo was underneath the glass top.
Thanks for this info. I have not found any photos of the L65 top sideyet, that would show details.
Any idea as to size, placement, and simple way(s) to replace or reasonably approximate the original logo, with a substitute?
Regards.

Does this help?
The 4" mark on each ruler is lined up on an edge of the logo badge.
Don, John, Giskard - thanks for your help - the photo w/ rulers is excellent! Regards.
Don's the quick draw of this site!!! Way to go Don:applaud:

Just happened to check new message at the right time, the camera batteries were charged and, of course, I happened to have a pair of L65s. :)
I've replaced my top foam, and made substitute JBL emblems using my PC and printer, placing them as shown in Don's photos. They don't look bad, but I'd like to eventually get something closer to the original parts.
Does anyone have some spare emblems that they would be willing to part with? Or, might it be possible to get these directly from JBL?
Thanks - Dave

Giskard - The (2) JBL logos/emblems you sent arrived today. Thanks so much for sending these! They look great atop my L65's. Your generosity is sincerely appreciated.
