Recently purchased four 808-8A horns for PA system. Two of the horns came with 809-8A cross/attenuaters. The other two came with, Wave Instruments, 1200 series cross/attenuaters. I know the 809-8A x-overs are at 800hz. I have no idea where these others cross, no test equipment. Anyone familiar with them? I am eventually going to active x-over, need these passive x-overs for now. Amazing horns. 600.00 canadian for four horns and two JBL 2220A which I am going to use in a set of wedges.:blah: My first post.

Hi MrManic,

Your first post is ok..
welcome aboard.

my catalogue shows for the 808-8B a frequency response from 500-22kHz.
In the same brochure they state, that this driver fits to the 511 horn with the crossover, you also call yours now, the 809-8A. Maybe that this xovers at 500Hz ?
BTW: Congratulations for this "steal"

I believe the 809 crossover is 800Hz. I had a pair 801, which was 800Hz, and Altec have some 50x that is 500Hz.

Which horns are these drivers mounted on?

Do you have pictures?

Here are some pictures, below, of the Wave Instruments Series 1200 crossovers I was inquiring about. The horns are all 511B Altecs. Two of the drivers 808-8A need new diaghrams. I am British Columbia, any suggestions? A thousand thanks for the offers of assistance. MrManic.
