IMO you made a great purchase. I'd pay more than that to have a pair.

Not everyone likes these speakers because of the powerful horn and dual woofers. I, however, love them, especially for rock, pop, dance tracks, movies, and jazz. The voicing can be forward, yet intimate. Vocals can be divine.

Good move. I'm jealous. :applaud:

Thanks for reply.
I am happy so far, the only thing is that I can not pick them up before friday.
And I am just scared that the seller get a buyer with money in his hand and "forget" the deal he made with me. It has happend once before, and it really upsetted me. That was a Luxman L560 that I could get for US 300,-

here is a foto i used to owne a pair and there are a fine speaker
i now own a pair of LSR 6332 and a sub LSR6312sp in coparison the later sistem is more deatailed

i think sva 2100 is good for jazz and rock and amazing for home theater they have grate imageing thaks for the horns and the hi s are a littel soft but it is a very pleasant speaker to hear

The beasts are in the house!
And so far it seems like I have done a bargain. 500 USD dont make you get a lot in Norway, but this is much for money. No doubt.
I am not too overly exited about the bass, but I belive it is not the speakers, but the placement that is the problem. I will have to redo my living room and place the speakers on another wall than they are at now. Wider apart, and further out in the room shuould solve much of the boomy bass there is now.

Here they are:

Yes, better placement will yield better results. However, for the lowest bass, rely on your excellent sub. If possible, use your receiver or pre/pro to roll off the bass to the SVA2100s at 80 or 100Hz.

Just done refoaming the drivers from this model. Seems to me there is a design flaw to them as the foam split just underneat the cone. The foam were otherwise in good condition.

hello good people

i bought a pair of usa made sva 2100's
looking for them for a long time but finally got them.

they sound awesome already...and i say already because im driving them with a small tube amp. 2 x 4 watt

and yet i can listen at powerfull levels with thundering bass wich is not super deep but very powerfull.
my question is if someone can tell me wich woofers are used in the 2100...i found the tweeter ( Audax) wich (luckely) has Always been one of my fav tweeters regarding soft dome types.
but the woofers...i can find nothing on them.

ill keep searching but if anyone knows, please inform me

thanks

Here's the SVA2100 technical cut-sheet ( pdf ) (http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/HOM/Technical%20Sheet/SVA2100%20ts.pdf) for your reference purposes .

I love 'em. Sure they're a little bit colored, but what speaker isn't? Imaging is a superb with the WTW configuration and dynamics are about as good as it gets without compression drivers.
