Thought I would show you my latest refinish job. These were hand block sanded starting with some 320 grit, a couple grade along the way and ended with some 1000. Final finish is semi-gloss DEFT. Came out nice and wasn't hard at all.

Looks real nice!
Is the rest of the speaker (drivers) in nice shape too? :bouncy: :bouncy:

Have a before shot? Just seeing the end product... it belittles the work you did!:applaud:

Sadly there isn't a before shot. Let's just say they were dark. The finish had turned over the years. Also, I had to steam the bottoms to get the scratches and gouges out. Looks someone had slid them around on rocks :(. All better now. :)

The blonde striped top of the left unit is interesting... was that original or a re-veneer?

That is how they came from the factory.

I could never understand how anyone could treat the JBL's that way!! My 4313B's were all scratched up when I got them too, especially on the bottoms. Like you, I steamed out the gouges, sanded and re-oiled them. Now they are pretty close to looking "like new"! :bouncy:
