Me? Beware :)

It's an old synthesizer. Moog or something like that. Widget and Hector were right!

There seem to be a collector of that stuff in Switzerland. He paid app. 25,000 USD. Look at the auction!

That is a pic of one of the early synths, late 60' early 70's. One of the early pioneers using/developing these was a woman named Wendy Carlos.....she also used to build her own electronics:)) One of the first albums I remember her doing was called " Switched on Bach " back in the early 70's.

Heres some of her catalog:

Oh yes, I remember the "Switched on Bach". My Mom had a
copy of the LP.

Yes, I remember Wendy Carlos, one of the women with two first names (like Ann Margaret). Another keyboardist who got into the synth thing was Dick Hyman, a man whose name inspired many a riotous response during my college days.

Ah, it still brings a tear to my eye. :bouncy: :rotfl:

I missed Dick Hyman, but glancing at your post before reading it I thought it was in reference to Walter/Wendy....

I've never seen a train of thought derail faster than it does here...

Yes, that is true. Bach wasn't the only thing that was switched. :bouncy:

Before 1969, Walter was the guy with two first names, but when s/he switched gears in 1969 (gad! quel anee formidable!) I'll bet she was hoping to have a Dick Hyman experience, metaphorically and musically speaking.

:wtf: :wasnt-me:
